William J. Dick
William J. Dick, age 74 of Albion, Pa., died peacefully at his home in Albion on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
William was born in Albion, Pa., the son of the late William Ellsworth and Irene Dick. He grew up haying the fields with his father, son and nephews where many memories were made and lessons were learned. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the peaceful side of life playing his guitars or watching a good western movie. He was a big fan of John Wayne.
Joe spent 28 years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft munition maintenance officer. Being a military man was a huge part of his life. As a Major, he visited and spent time in beautiful places across the world. Pennsylvania was always his home though so when he retired, he settled down on his farm where he spent time training horses and enjoying his many cats and dogs. He loved spending time with his family, especially at family picnics where he loved to talk to everyone about any subject. In his later years, he was more of a “home body.” He could often be found tinkering around his home with one of his many collections. He would still come out just once a year to a family picnic, because in his words, “one picnic a year is enough.”
He is survived by his son, William Dick Armstrong and brothers, Robert E. and Ralph J. Dick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
