William I. Brewster
William I. Brewster, age 83 formerly from East Springfield, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Manchester Commons in Erie where he had been recently residing.
Bill was born in Albion, Pa on July 26, 1934, the son of the late William I. and Anna (Dana) Brewster.
After he graduated from the Albion High School, he worked for many years for many trucking companies in the areas; such as Inland Container Co., Graziano Brothers, Fred Tidd Trucking, Birkmire Trucking Co., and Ringsway Tours. He also spent a couple years serving and protecting our nation in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He was a member of the Federated Church in East Springfield and was a member for more than 50 years with the Albion Western Star Masonic Lodge #304. During the Albion fair time, Bill could always be found volunteering his time and helping with the horse pulls and the livestock parades. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his second wife, Norma Brewster and a brother, Robert Brewster.
Bill is survived by his first wife, Dee Brewster of East Springfield; and three daughters: Debra Greenslade of Albion, Denise (Steve) McInchak of Lake City, and Karen Brewster of Bethlehem, Pa; and two sons: Dennis (Chrissy) Brewster of Girard, and Kevin (Lynn) Brewster of N. Canton, OH. He is also survived by two step-daughters: Debbie (Mike) Kelly of North East, PA and Trudy (Terry) Rose of Fountain Inn, SC; and four step-sons: Larry (Georgia) Delo of Erie, Jeff (Mary) Delo of Bechtelsville, PA, Mike (Donna) Delo of Tomkins Cove, NY, and Rick Delo of Fountain Inn, SC. Bill is also survived by a sister, Sally Byerley of Hyndman, PA; and a brother, Thomas (Joan) Brewster of Lebanon, TN. Bill was also blessed with 19 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
