Warren A. Stripe, Jr.

Warren A. Stripe, age 68 of West Springfield, Pa passed away Thursday, December 27, 1018 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa.

Warren was born in Warren, OH on December 27, 1950, the son of the late Warren Arthur and June Mary (Seiple) Stripe, Sr.

He drove truck for General Motors hauling cars for many years.  Upon retiring, Warren became a family member to many people in the West Springfield area; especially at the West Springfield United Methodist Church.  Warren was always helping out with handy errands and little jobs and even frying chicken for their annual Chicken Dinners.  He will be missed by many within the church especially when he would always have his dog, Trooper at his side. 

When Warren wasn’t helping someone out, he rode with his motorcycle friends and even bowled in two different leagues at the El-Camp Lanes in Conneaut, Ohio. 

Warren is survived by two sons:  Richard of Seattle, WA and Christopher Stripe of Wexford, PA and a sister, Mary (Richard) Faull of Warren, OH.  He is also survived by three grandchildren.

A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held in Warren’s memory on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the West Springfield United Methodist Church on Chestnut Street at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Terry Campbell, officiating the services.  Arrangements were made with love and care by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, East Springfield, Pa.
