Virgil Leroy Pettis, Jr.

Virgil L. Pettis, Jr., age 69 of Albion, Pennsylvania passed away at his home on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Virgil was born on July 9, 1954 in Erie, Pa., the son of the late Virgil L. and Eileen M. (Mansfield) Pettis, Sr.

Virgil worked at EMSCO for many years and enjoyed tinkering with cars and motorcycles.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted brother, Joseph Roman and his grandparents, Oliver and Winifred Mansfield.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra and two brothers:  Daniel Lee Pettis and his wife, Sandy; and Wesley Allen Pettis and his wife, Deborah.  He is also survived by three Nieces:  Dawn Pettis Apperson; Deanna Pettis; and Amy Pettis.  Virgil was blessed with seven great nieces and nephews:  Alexa Anne and Elijah Roy Apperson; David Pettis; Jonathan, Austin and Brianna Kinney; and Scarlett Rose Pettis.

A private burial will be held for Virgil in Springfield Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.
