Kathryn Elaine Voss Graves, age 94 of East Springfield, Pa., went home to be with her Lord on early Monday morning, October 9, 2017 at Fairview Manor where she had been residing.
She was born on November 25, 1922 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Sisson) Voss.
Kathryn was a member of the West Springfield United Methodist Church and was an avid member of the Ruth Circle at the church. She enjoyed Gardening, sewing, playing cards (pinochle and cribbage) and was famous for her “LEMON PIE.”
Besides her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by a sister, Audry (Voss) Moore.
She is the very proud parent of Jerold L. Graves (Doris) of East Springfield; and a sister, Marcia (Voss) Eisaman Parson of Coudersport and the Grandmother of Jason E. Graves (Jennifer) of Girard. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; Tyler and Ryan Graves and Tiffany (Zack), Dixie, Joann (Adam), and Kelly, and three Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main Street, East Springfield on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Life Celebration Services will be officiated on Friday morning at 11 a.m. by Pastor Jennifer Craig of the West Springfield United Methodist Church. A private burial will be in Springfield Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Carl.
