John L. Walker, age 80 of Albion, Pa. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, April 14, 2016 at his home.
John was born in Albion, Pa. on August 23, 1935, the son of the late John W. Walker and Isabelle P. (Wykoff) Walker-Joslin. John graduated from high school and served our country in the Army National Guard. John started out working for Gary Brewster who owned the Albion Sunoco Gas Station and then went on to bigger things like the RCA Service Co. for 23 ½ years and then he became co-owner of Electronic Communications for 12 years. John was a hard worker. He never married or had children of his own, but he was strong in his faith with the Lord and was a member of the Kidder’s Corner’s Community Church. In his spare time, John liked to go hunting, fishing, and tinkering on equipment and things that needed to be done on his farm.
Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by two Brother – in- Laws: Ronald Klemm and John Kelley.
He is survived by three sisters: Judy Klemm of Albion, Pa., Bessie (Howard) Olmstead of Girard, Pa., and Shirley Kelley and her companion, John Moyak of Albion. He is also survived by three brothers: George Walker of Albion, Pa., Silas (Nancy) Walker of Houston, TX, and Edward (Nina) Joslin of Hickernell, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Senior Center at the Federated Church, P.O. Box 158, East Springfield, PA 16411.
