John E. Carrier

John E. Carrier, age 52 of Conneaut, Ohio died at the Cleveland Clinic on Monday, November 23, 2015.

John was born in Erie, Pa. on November 1, 1963 the son of the late Raymond C. and Judy (Panitzke) Carrier.

John worked for many years at CSP of Ohio and was a member of the Teamsters Local #377 of which he was also the Union Steward.  He enjoyed hunting and gardening, was a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. NASCAR fan and a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He especially enjoyed being a “Grandpa”.  He loved his family and grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife, Betty (Summers) Carrier and  a son, Jared Carrier of N. Kingsville, OH and several step-children:  Nathan Stoltz, Sharon Andrews, Rosanna Swyers, Elizabeth Weizer, and James Andrews all of Conneaut, OH; and John Andrews, Jr. of Jefferson, OH.  He is also survived by two half-sisters:  Charlotte Millard of Conneaut, OH and Theresa Hlopick of Columbus, OH; and two half-brothers:  Chuck Carrier of Conneaut, OH and Raymond “Rick” of Pennsylvania.  John also had eight grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main Street, East Springfield, Pa. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. and are invited to a Life Celebration Service that will be held at Noon on Sunday.  Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery, East Springfield, Pa.
