Janice Irene (Sterling) Shaw

Janice Shaw, age 84 of Albion, Pa., went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, June 2, 2025 at Pleasant Ridge Manor where she had been recently residing.

Janice was born in Cambridge Springs, Pa. on August 18, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph and Arlene (Trafton-Bunker) Sterling.

Janice worked for many years in nursing homes as a nurses’ aid. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Albion and in her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzle books. Her favorite color was purple and she enjoyed going to McDonalds for a Big Mac on occasion.

Besides her parents, Janice was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. She was one of 15 siblings.

She is survived by four children: Cindy Sherrod, Ron Shaw, Michael Shaw, and Connie Cook. Three sisters; Jean Lehman, Phyllis Boyle, and Darlene Munshower, and a brother; Merle Sterling. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and good friends, Bernie and Tracy.

There will be no calling or services for Janice as were her wishes.
