FloraBelle "Babe" Walker
FloraBelle "Babe" Walker, age 94 of Kingsville, Ohio was gently lead home by the hand of Jesus early Saturday morning, June 1, 2019 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home where she had been residing.
Babe was born in Conneaut, OH on August 19, 1924 the daughter of the late Floyd T. Smith and Jennie E. (Rogers) Smith Sousa. She retired from the EMSCO Inc. in Girard, Pa (formerly known as Erie Mop and Wringer). In her earlier years, she liked to work with wood and was interested in genealogy. Babe enjoyed playing Bingo and working on her plastic canvas crafts and making gifts for her family and friends. She loved going for rides with the Activities Dept. and the residents and their families that visited her. Most of all though; she enjoyed her family.
Besides her parents, FloraBelle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul G. Walker whom she married on June 30, 1951. The were married for 61 years. She is also preceded by a sister, Mabel I. Smith Hayes and a half brother, William R. Smith, Sr.
FloraBelle is survived by her two daughters: Nancy and her husband Smokey (Alva) Stover of Conneaut, OH; and Linda Kuligowski of Pierpont, OH. Three Granddaughters: Amy Kuligowski of Erie, PA; Sheryl and her husband, Carl Eble and Jennifer Kuligowski and her friend Tim Bowers both of Conneaut, OH and three Grandsons; Eric P. Drakes and his friend, Michelle Anthony of Transfer, PA, Matthew S. Drakes and his wife, Mellisa of West Springfield, PA, and Peter J. Kuligowski of Pierpont, OH; and four Great-Granddaughters; Courtney (Drakes) McMichael of Girard, PA, Jordan Eble and IsaBelle Eble both of Conneaut, OH and Mattie Drakes of West Springfield and one Great-Grandson, Max Eble of Conneaut, OH and one Great-Great-Grandson, Karter Polaski of Girard, PA. Babe is also survived by two nieces; Mildred Murphy and Mabel Hughes both of Florda and two nephews; William Smith, Jr. and John Smith both of Conneaut, OH
Her daughter, Nancy would like to give; "Special Thanks to the Staff at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home and the Hospice of the Western Reserve for all the Care and Love they gave my mom. She loved you All!"
Babe will be laid to rest with her husband in the Erie County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Erie, Pa.
