Fayann Jones  

Fayann Jones, age 84 of Girard, Pa., went home to be with her children early Saturday morning, March 23, 2024.

Fayann was born in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Nellie H. (Cononie) Buterbaugh.  She married her husband, Bruce on August 10, 1972 and began their married life in Connecticut where she worked for 20 years at Unimax Switch.  In her spare time, Fayann enjoyed crocheting, reading, making Cricut crafts, and spending time with her cats, Charlie, Sam, and her favorite cat, Muffy.

Besides her parents, Fayann was preceded in death by her son, Julius L. Eger and her daughter, Mary H. Eger.   

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bruce Jones, a sister, Joan Counts of Girard, and a half-brother, Robert Kovach of Connecticut.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time for Fayann.  Arrangements are being handled by the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home in East Springfield, Pa.  At a time to be decided by God, Fayann will be buried with her husband together at the Memorial Tree Trail in Headwaters Park, Erie, Pa.
