Eugene Earl Ice
Eugene Ice, known to many of his friends as “Tink”, died suddenly Saturday evening in a motor vehicle accident in West Springfield.
Tink was born in Painesville, Ohio on July 13, 1967. He was the son of the late Eugene and Donna (Hodge) Ice.
Even though Tink was disabled, he enjoyed everything in life that was available to him He liked to tinker with everything hence his nickname. He was also known for his love for other people. If anyone needed help with anything, Tink was always there to help. He enjoyed camping and working with wood. He made birdhouses, and he was noted for wood burning designs into large wooden wheels and made them into bar stands. He was an avid guitarist and he liked to landscape people’s yards with miniature lawn ponds. He had even tried chainsaw carving. Last, but not least, Tink enjoyed feeling the wind in his face while riding his motorcycle.
He will be missed very much by his two sisters; Pam (George) Parmerter of East Springfield, Pa., and Debra (Bill) Reid of Ripley, NY; and two brothers; Robert Strittmatter of West Springfield and William Strittmatter of Panama City, Florida. He will also be missed by his two nieces, Stacy Parmerter and Donna (Chris) Furman and a nephew, Kenneth (Megan) Parmerter and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tink’s memory on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from Noon to 5 pm at the VFW in West Springfield, Pa. Memorial donations may be made to the www.Gofundme.com that has been set up In Tink’s Memory.
