Andrew Steven Chaney

Andrew S. Chaney aged 50 of Erie PA, passed away on November 4, 2022 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on August 8, 1972 in San Antonio TX. The son of M. Arlene Chaney and the late Francisco Balmaseda.

He enjoyed coaching his daughter’s softball and swim teams and he had a great love of music of all genres. He greatly loved writing poetry and drawing and had a passion for hunting and fishing.

He graduated from McDowell High School class of 1992 and then attended trade school.

Andrew is preceded in death by his father Francisco Balmaseda and his first-born daughter Heidi Nicole Chaney.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stephanie; his self-proclaimed greatest accomplishments: his daughters Zoe, Olivia, and Sophia; his mothers, Arlene Chaney and Jeanne Marie Ryan; many loved family members and friends; and his best furry friend, Hank.

A special thank you to Katie Oswalt, a beloved friend, niece, and caretaker who remained faithfully by Andrew’s side until the very end.

Calling hours will be on Thursday November 10, 2022 from 2-8 PM. At Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home 11883 Main St. East Springfield Pa.

Services will be held on Friday November 11, 2022 at 3:30 PM at the funeral home with Father Jason Feigh celebrating. Burial to follow at Springfield Cemetery.
